Current Editor, Katherine Clements, says: “I took on the editor’s role at Historia early in my career as a historical novelist. Over the last few years, I’ve worked very hard to grow the site into a valuable hub for writers and readers. Historia doesn’t have a budget to pay a living wage – something we’d love to change in future – but the role is what you choose to make of it. It’s perfect for someone looking to gain experience in journalism and publishing, or writers keen to expand their knowledge and network of contacts. A genuine interest in history and historical fiction is key. I’ve learned so much during my time in the job – my own writing has improved and it’s led to many other opportunities, including offers of paid work. Now we’re looking for someone with loads of enthusiasm to take Historia forward.”
To express your interest in the role, please email admin@historicalwriters.org explaining why you are interested and detailing your relevant experience.
Closing Date: 3 August 2018.
