About Historia

Historia is the online publication of the Historical Writers Association.

Our passion is history.  We are authors, publishers and agents of historical writing, both fiction and non-fiction, and we have created this Association to provide professional and social support to our members, and to create opportunities online and in person for our members to meet with readers, fellow writers and enthusiasts for all things historical.

Historia began life as Galleria magazine and was relaunched as Historia in 2014, edited by Vanora Bennett and Elizabeth Fremantle. After a major redevelopment, Historia was relaunched in its current format in May 2016 under editor Katherine Clements. The magazine is now edited by Frances Owen.
